Financial analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Primary responsibilities include financial and market analysis, due diligence, closings, financing and other tasks and functions related to the business division’s primary focus area.

JOB ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create financial models to evaluate potential investment opportunities including acquisitions and development. Models include project and portfolio level performance and structured finance, joint venture waterfalls, etc.

• Create financial models to evaluate property investment exit strategies with operating costs/revenue and income streams.

• Work with the due diligence team to close transactions including coordinate site visits, inspections, financial and market review, title reviews, lease abstracts, etc.

• Create Investment Committee memos and actively participate in presentation of investment opportunities.

• Update financial models with actual data to evaluate investments.

• Perform market research to determine/verify a project’s economics and to verify assumptions used in models.

• Identify economic/general issues with potential economic impact.

• Summarize and present findings and recommendations.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Minimum 3-years’ experience working in Real Estate finance or related field, with demonstrated progressive responsibility

• Required proficiency with analyzing, acquiring/financing, and closing of healthcare related real estate investments

• Good working knowledge of the investment fundamentals and operations of a variety of relevant asset types (life sciences, hospitals, medical office buildings/outpatient facilities, senior housing, etc.) preferred

• Established experience working with a debt and/or equity investor or developer or a related entity with real estate or healthcare industry focus

• High proficiency with computer-based software platforms including Microsoft Office365 (advanced Excel proficiency) and ADOBE Acrobat; and related platforms such as ARGUS (preferred).

• Advanced mathematical and quantitative skills required, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Required traits include reliability, follow-through, highly organized, critical thinking and problem-solving

• Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision as well as in a collaborative team environment
